My "go to" app when Im trying to find anything wherever I am. If youre visiting family and want to find the nearest coffee shop or the closest grocery store, this is your solution!

I love the concept of this app but it is years out of date. Im deleting it.

This app is very helpful. I know it will get better with time. I have used it over n over again. It has not fail me yet. Pretty accurate.

I use around me to find places to eat or specific shopping needs. Its especially helpful when traveling in new areas.

New update that supports iphone6s dose not install

When in an unfamiliar area this app is helpful.

One of the first apps I got when I first got an iPhone and has always been handy. It was recommended by a friend who then switched to yelped. I became a loyal around me fan.

I have a million other apps that are similar, but always find myself falling back on this one. My first app of its kind and still my fav.

Ive had this app for ages and it is always reliable and handy. I use it when I travel and need to find a gas station, a post office, a Fedex drop off or a coffee house. Im glad to see it has an Apple Watch feature now. Double thumbs up.

Excellent App. Does exactly what the developers claim and does it with simplicity, elegance, usability & efficiency. One of my most frequently used apps in my arsenal, especially when I am traveling. Keep up the good work! Updated April 2012: After using this app and all the others for a couple of years, it is still THE definitive app in its category. It just works! As of summer 2016, still the best.

Use this app in places I travel to. Finds restaurants, lodging and much more.

This app is always behind the times. Rarely up to date. Google maps is better (hope you get the joke). I only use it to transfer business phone numbers to my contacts (if its in around me)

Update: newest version keeps trying to update but cannot. Using much battery power as iPhone continues to attempt update without success. Had high hopes. Because of new job, I spend part of each week at a new locale. Had hoped this app would help me to find places to eat, banks, gas stations, markets, laundry, etc - everything you might need in a new place. Seems to show unusual results. Not sure what they base their data on. Tried again when home. Exceptionally poor results. Places within walking distance not even noted. For ex, Chase bank around the corner and local A & P not mentioned. Thinking of deleting, because its not meeting my needs. If anyone can help me find a good app that will show me food, gas, banks in new cities, I would appreciate the recommendation. Thank you.

There use to be an arrow, near the distance from where you are, that would point in the direction the place was you wanted to go to. Now all the arrows point straight forward.

Around me is a really good navigation app to find places near you like,Superstores or any other thing you need to find although it doesnt have its own map built-in to route to where your going but if you dont have Internet or data for your device this app will not work but other than that I would recommend this app

I have been using the app for a long time and find it very helpful. I especially like the daily weather forecast notification; it tells me everything I need to know without being weighed down with extra fluff.
